Funeral services for Mrs. Laura T. Kofoed, 82, were held Aug. 22 at Bethany Lutheran church, West Branch with burial in the West Branch cemetery. Mrs. Kofoed died Aug. 19 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following a 2-week illness.

Mrs. Kofoed was born June 20, 1886, at Bornholm, Denmark. She came to the United States as a child and was married Aug. 17, 1922, at Brooklyn, N.Y., to Hans C. Kofoed. They operated a creamery for many years in Amber until moving to West Branch in 1942. Mrs. Kofoed was a member of Bethany Lutheran church.

Surviving are 2 sons, Owen of Dallas, Tex., and John of West Branch; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Friedhoff of Normal, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Petersen of Denmark, and 10 grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death.
