Last rites for Art Adams, 59, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home at 1:30 p.m. July 9 with the Rev. Virgil Freyermuth officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wayne Butts, Albert Witmer, Milton Henderson, Allen Schluter, Martin Young and Clarence Adams. Mr. and Mrs. David Kingsbury and Mrs. Martin Young were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Max Phelps was organist.

Mr. Adams died July 6 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, after a sudden illness.

Arthur Henry, the son of Henry and Scymantha Baker Adams was born in Tipton June 29, 1909 and was educated in the Tipton schools. He was married to Ann House June 19, 1934 in Tipton.

A lifelong resident of Tipton, he was employed by the Internal Harvester Farmall plant.

He is survived by his wife, a brother, Harry and 3 sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Young, Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Sindt and Mrs. Walter (Josephine) Statts, all of Tipton.
