Last rites for Mrs. Lillian Olive Barrett, 82, were held June 19 at the Bennett Methodist church with the Rev. Everett Isaacs officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chester, Howard and Warren Smith, Darrell Brockmeyer, Bernard Wright and Leslie Mowry. Mrs. Gene Weih was organist. Mrs. Fred Horstmann and Mrs. Paul Hambright were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Barrett died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, June 16, following a lingering illness.

The daughter of Daniel B. and Emma Collins Smith, she was born near Bennett in Inland township. She was married to Clement Clifford Barrett at Bennett March 16, 1916.

A lifetime resident of the Bennett community, she was a member of the Bennett Methodist church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Edna) Wiese, Bennett; 2 grandchildren, Lee Wiese, Tuxedo Park, N.Y. and David Wiese, Iowa City and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Mowry, Bennett. She was preceded in death by her husband, 6 sisters and 4 brothers.
