Last rites for Mrs. Fred Edler, 64, will be held today (May 18) at Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett, with the Rev. Robert Ahrendt officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Arnold and Walter Conrad, Lloyd Grage, Albert Loefler and Raymond and Joey Gehrls. Mrs. Walter Conrad and Mrs. Lloyd Grage will be in charge of flowers.
Mrs. Allen Peckenschneider and Mrs. Ernest Riedesel Jr. are vocalists and Mr. Riedesel is organist.
Mrs. Edler died May 15 at University hospitals, Iowa City.
Minnie Ramm, the daughter of August and Emma Wulf Ramm was born near Durant in Muscatine county Oct. 26, 1902 and attended the rural schools of Scott county. She was married to Fred Edler at Bennett Dec. 4, 1929. They farmed near Bennett until retiring in 1954 when they moved to Tipton.
Mrs. Edler was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett, and the Women's Guild.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Darlene) Danmeier, Bettendorf, a grandson and an aunt, Mrs. Johanna Kai, Davenport. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers.
