Mrs. Dewey Puls, 66, Westgate, a native of the Lowden area, died March 21 at her home. Services were held March 24 in the American Lutheran church in Westgate with burial in Memorial cemetery, Oelwein.

Gusta Proesch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Proesch Sr., was born near Lowden and spent her early life in the Lowden vicinity.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Melvin and Wilbert, Westgate; 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Herman, Wheatland and John Jr., Lowden and 3 sisters, Mrs. Louie (Emma) Krutzfeld and Mrs. Lawrence (Anna) Schoff, Lowden and Mrs. Elmer (Lena) Stanlake, Wheatland.

Relatives attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. John Proesch, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schoff, Mrs. Ernest Proesch, Mrs. Otto Tank Jr., Mrs. Paul Rowald and Mrs. Erwin Proesch, all of Lowden; Mrs. Hugo Lenschow, Tipton and Mrs. Wilbur Juering, Clinton.
