Funeral services for Raymond (Squirm) Williams, 53, were held Sept. 26 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery with full military rites by the Garey-Whalen post of the American Legion in charge.

Pallbearers were Max Werling, Earl Thomas, Walter Eiler, Ted Albaugh, Harold and Harry Wehde. Frank Norris and Rutha Thomas were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Max Phelps was organist.

Mr. Williams died unexpectedly Sept. 21 at Dayton, Ohio.

The son of Sherman and Emma Schell Williams, he was born Aug. 1, 1913 in Tipton and graduated from Tipton high school in 1931.

A veteran of World War II he was a civilian employee at Wright-Patterson Air base in Dayton and was also active with an orchestra in Dayton.

He is survived by a brother, Verne; a sister, Carrie and a niece, Mrs. Gene (Delores) Phelps, all of Tipton. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a nephew.
