Raymond Kai, 60, who had formerly farmed near Sunbury most of his life, died early Sept. 13 in Mercy hospital, Davenport, after an extended illness.

The son of Charley and Johanna Kai, he was born near Sunbury Nov. 11, 1905.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Frick Funeral home, Durant, with burial in Durant cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Charles (Johanna) Kai, Davenport, and 3 brothers, Charles, Davenport, and Harry and Clarence, both of Durant.

His father and a sister preceded him in death.
