Funeral services for Mrs. Lee A. Whitmer, 58, a native of Tipton, were held Sept. 2 in Trinity Cathedral, Davenport and the Episcopal church, Muscatine. Burial was in Muscatine Memorial park.

Mrs. Whitmer died Aug. 30 in St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, after a brief illness.

She was the mother of the Rev. Marlin L. Whitmer, Davenport, chaplain of St. Luke's hospital.

Leora A. Kreinbring was born in Tipton and was married to Mr. Whitmer in Davenport in 1928. He died in 1957.

Also surviving are 2 other sons, Ronald D. Whitmer, Oelwein, and James F., Chicago, Ill.; 2 grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Marvin Tacker, Carter Lake, and Mrs. Richard Ehrensing, las Vegas, Nev.
