Funeral services for Frank Kellerhals, 54, were held Sept. 5 at the Dye funeral home with the Rev. George Gallaher in charge. Pallbearers were members of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Military services by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion were held at the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Kellerhal's body was found Sept. 2 in a car at his home at 300 Mulberry street. Death was due to carbon monoxide poisoning, and was ruled as a suicide by Dr. Walter Kopsa, county medical examiner.

Frank Leo Kellerhals, the son of William and Kate Dickey Kellerhals was born at Dysart Aug. 22, 1912. He was married to Vera Mae Wagaman Aug. 22, 1935 in Rock Island.

He served in the navy from June 15, 1944 to Nov. 2, 1945 and was a seaman first class, serving aboard the U.S.S. Boulder. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He farmed and was later a livestock buyer in the Tipton area.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, Larry Eugene and Donald Ray, at home and Lee Allen, Cedar Rapids; 3 daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Arenz and Mrs. Emma Jean Driscoll, both of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Marvel Foens, Tipton; 3 brothers, Howard, Merle and Ralph, LaPorte City; 4 sisters, Edna Shultz, Tipton; Alma Ford, Lisbon; Maude Carroll, Sumner and Selma Albaugh, Mechanicsville. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Richard, Olvene, Paul and a brother who died at birth.
