Martinus Jensen, 84, operator of a West Branch grocery store for many years, died in his apartment July 13.

Death was attributed by his physician to the heat.

Funeral services were July1 6 at the Bethany Lutheran church in West Branch, with the Rev. William Thalacker officiating. Burial was in the West Branch Cemetery.

Mr. Jensen was born March 20, 1882, in Viby, Denmark. He was married to Inger Bundgard in Denmark April 17, 1908. She died in 1963.

After coming to the United States as a young man, Mr. Jensen owned and operated Jensen's Grocery Store. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran church.
