Funeral services for Mrs. Nedia Fankhauser, 79, were held May 7 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller in charge. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Cedar Bluff.

Pallbearers were LaVern Cook, Claude Mitchell, Arnold Swan, Earl Achey, Kenneth Fankhauser and Glen Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. Chalmer Keller and Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Wood were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Arnold Swan was organist.

Mrs. Fankhauser died May 4 at University hospitals, Iowa City, after a short illness.

The daughter of Oris and Melinda Marker Fankhauser, she was born Feb. 24, 1887, at Cedar Bluff and attended the rural Cedar county schools. She was married to Otis W. Fankhauser May 26, 1910.

She spent her life in Cedar county. She was a member of the former Cedar Bluff Methodist church.

Mrs. Fankhauser is survived by 4 sons, Ralph and Walter, Tipton; Carroll, West Liberty and Gerald, Iowa City; 3 daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Velma) Schriner, Bertram, Ill; Mrs. Harold (Pauline) Stout, Tipton and Mrs. Gerald (Marie) Hutchinson, Adel, Ga.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Bertha Mitchell and Mrs. Ivory Cook, Lisbon and Mrs. Dora Schutt, Tipton; 33 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, a grandson, 3 brothers and a sister.
