Funeral services for Omer B. Wright, 70, were held March 21 at the Sheets and Son Funeral home with the Rev. Omar Petersen and the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery at Bennett. Graveside rites were by the Rixe-Lausen Post of the American Legion.

Pallbearers were Lester, Lawrence, Earl, Alvin, Arlo and Stanley Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Paul, Clyde and Dallas Wright and Jack Treadwell and E. A. Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Riedesel Jr. were vocalists and Mrs. Irma Crawford organist. Mrs. Hoyt Buttolph, Mrs. Dale Robbins and Mrs. Paul Hamberight were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Wright suffered a heart attack in the yard of his farm near Bennett March 18. His body was found that afternoon.

The son of Marshal and Viney Jackson Wright, he was born March 4, 1896 at Morehead, Ky. and was educated n the rural Rowa county, Kentucky schools. He was married to Bernice C. Moore July 9, 1917 at Carlisle, Ky.

A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Rixe-Lausen Post of the American Legion in Bennett and the Veterans of World War I, Barrack No. 1146.

He had farmed 2 miles east of Bennett for 47 years and was a prominent Cedar county cattle feeder. The Wrights moved to the Bennett area from Kentucky in 1919.

He is survived by his wife, 5 brothers, Lewis and Charles, Olin; Rollie and Boone, Tipton and Clayton, Bennett and several nieces and nephews.
