Funeral services for Raymond Knouse, 46, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Griffith funeral home in Wilton Junction. Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery at Wilton Junction.

Knouse died March 14 at Veterans hospital in Iowa City following a long illness.

The son of Oscar and Ruth Baker Knouse, he was born Feb. 1, 1920 in Cedar county. He was married to Mary A. Jensen June 1, 1946 in Rock Island, Ill.

Mr. Knouse owned and operated the Tipton Locker for many years. He had also farmed. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Tipton V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife, 4 sons, Ronald R., Wilton Junction; Thomas S., Dan E. and Charles M., all of Tipton; 2 step-sons, William J. Harley, Wilton Junction and Richard A. Jensen, Coralville; 3 brothers, John, Akley, Minn.; Melford, Norfolk, Va. and Merrill, Wilton Junction; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Grace) Means, Davenport and his mother, Mrs. Ruth Knouse of Wilton Junction. Five grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
