Lee Hoffman, 57, a lifelong resident of West Branch, died at Mercy hospital in Iowa City March 11.

Funeral services were March 14 with the Rev. Rodger Tappmeyer officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Hoffman was born on a farm near West Branch Sept. 30, 1908, the son of Levi and Esther Gruwell Hoffman. He never married. He was a member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include 4 brothers, Glenn, Floyd and F. B. Hoffman, all of West Branch, and Clair, Cedar Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Stoddard, Boca Raton, Fla.
