Funeral services for Mrs. Frieda Mary Edler, 71, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Hill and Fredericks mortuary at Bettendorf with interment in the Lowden cemetery.

Mrs. Edler, who has been making her home in Bettendorf, died Tuesday morning in Mercy hospital, Davenport, after an illness of 2 weeks.

She was born in Lowden April 5, 1894, daughter of Henry and Minnie Boedeker. Her marriage to William H. Edler took place Oct. 27, 1915, in Lowden. Most of her early life was spent in Cedar county. They moved to Davenport in 1936.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Mildred) Townsend of Bettendorf and Mrs. Clarence (LaVera) Simonton of LeClaire; a grandson and a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Behrens of Lowden and Mrs. Emma Edler of Tipton; two brothers, Dick Boedeker of Lowden and Charles Boedeker of Tipton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1951; a son, Melvin; and 2 brothers.
