Funeral services for Harvey Martin Reed, 74, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Raymond and Gary Silver, Dennis Long, A. E. Dolan, Bill Webb and Russell Schwitzer. Mrs. Harold Swan is organist and Mrs. William Palmer, vocalist.

Mr. Reed died May 31 at Mt. Pleasant after a lengthy illness.

The son of William and Lydia Martin Reed, he was born Jan. 31, 1891, in Blue Hill, Nebr. He was educated in Harrington, Nebr. and was married to Mabel Cumberlin in Clarinda Dec 17, 1912.

A laborer, he had lived in the Tipton community for 9 years.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Virginia Fern Anderson, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Erma Nadine Long, Tipton, a son, Kenneth, Denver, Colo., a sister, Mrs. Alice Bening, Anaheim, Calif., 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
