June 3, 1965 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Paul. Kruckenberg, 60, were held May 31 in Trinity Lutheran church, Lowden, with the Rev. Earl Elowsky officiating. Burial was in Lutheran cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gehard, Richard and Arthur Licht, Erwin Meier, William and Hugo Hein. Flower attendants were Mrs. Hugo Meyer, Mrs. Albert Licht and Mrs. Gerhard Licht. Music was by the church men's choir, with Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier, organist. Burial was in the Lowden Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Kruckenberg died May 28 at her farm home northwest of Lowden.

The former Selma Licht was born Nov. 30, 1904, the daughter of Henry and Anna Licht. She married Paul Kruckenberg Oct. 13, 1924 near Lowden. He died in 1955 and Mrs. Kruckenberg continued to live on the family farm.

Surviving are 3 sons, Merlon, George and Robert, at home, and Norbert, Lowden; 3 daughters, Roberta, at home; Mrs. Leonard Sellnau, Byrant, and Mrs. Waldemar Bergdolt, Kilmanaugh, Mich.; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Martin, Lowden; 4 sisters, Mrs. Edwin Soenksen, DeWitt, Mrs. George Gerhold, Van Horne, and Mrs. Louis Behrens, Cedar Rapids.
