Funeral services for Elizabeth Jane Beamer, 74, will be held at the Methodist church in Bennett at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) with the Rev. Omar Pettersen in charge. Burial will be in Inland cemetery. There will be an Eastern Star service.

Pallbearers are William Rohwedder, Omar Wright, Dr. Raymond Reuter, Johnny Hansen, Paul Hambright and Hoyt Buttolph. Mrs. Ernest Riedesel Jr. will be pianist with Mrs. Raymond Reuter, Mrs. Omar Wright, Mrs. Harold Smith and Mrs. John Bell in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Beamer died Monday afternoon, Oct. 29 at Mercy hospital in Davenport of a lingering illness.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Vaughan, she was born at Iowa City July 24, 1888. She graduated from Wilton Junction high school and the Wilton Business school.

She was married to James C. Beamer Aug. 25, 1909 in Davenport. He died Jan. 29, 1947.

She lived all of her married life in the Bennett community. She was a member of the Bennett Methodist church, and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Elliot V. Beamer, Denver, Colo.; 2 daughters, Mrs. J. B. (Eleanor) Henderson, Bennett, and Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) Reimers, DeWitt; 7 grandchildren, a brother, J. B. Vaughan, Des Moines, a half-brother, William Baughan, Manitowoc, Wis. and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. R. J. (Grace) Beamer, College Station, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband a son, Dr. R. J. Beamer in May, 1960.
