November 14, 1963 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Elry Rehbehn, 67, were held Nov. 11 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harry Overman, L. E. Aker, Forest Chamberlain, G. H. Mosher, Henry W. Fields and Frank Suchomel. Mrs. Bertha Sheets, Mrs. Carleton Holdon, Mrs. Harley Moreland and Gene Gray were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Wendell Willer was vocalist, with Mrs. Irma Crawford, organist.

Mrs. Rehbehn died at her home in Tipton early Nov. 9 after a short illness.

Florence Grace, the daughter of William H. and Ella Ochiltree Henderson, was born in Cedar county Feb. 15, 1896 and was a lifelong resident of the Tipton area. She was married to Elry Rehbehn at Muscatine March 31, 1915.

Mrs. Rehbehn operated a beauty shop in Tipton for many years. She was a member of the Open Prairie chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, past matron of the Order of Eastern Star, a charter member of the Tipton Federated Study club, and a member of Circle I of the W.S.C.S. of the Methodist church. She was a former member of the White Shrine.

She is survived by her husband, 3 sisters, Mrs. Ray (Madge) Atkins, Davenport; Mrs. B. J. (Nellie) Fishwild, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Grady (Freda) McDowell, Davenport; a half sister, Mrs. Ray (Wilma) Isabel, Atalissa, and a step sister, Mrs. Lou (Mary) Maisack, Davenport.
