Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Horn, 59, were held May 5 at the Clarence Methodist Church with the Rev. E. G. Steinman in charge. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery. Chapman Funeral Home was in charge.

Pallbearers were Robert Bassett, Kenneth Shaw, Richard Bachman, Vernon Bottorff, Jerrel Gallagher and Donald Kacer, all teachers in the Clarence school. Mrs. Vern McVay, Mrs. Fred Bachman and Mrs. Herman Hunwardsen, all co-workers in the school lunch kitchen at the Clarence school were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Robert Joslin was organist.

Mrs. Horn died suddenly at her home May 3. She had worked during the day at the Clarence school and died of a heart attack while working in the garden of her home.

Jennie Minerva, the daughter of Charles W. and Zula Groupe Cline, was born at Topeka, Kans., Jan. 6, 1904. She was educated in the Clarence schools and was married to Charles Horn June 19, 1924. She had worked as a hot lunch cook in the Clarence school for 20 years and was a supervisor until 2 years ago.

She was a member of the Methodist church and the W.S.C.S.

She is survived by her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Harlan (Marjorie) Miles, Stanwood; Mrs. Roland (Mildred) Mingst, Clarence; Mrs. Ronald (Dorothy) Goldsmith, Oskaloosa; 6 grandchildren; a brother, David Cline, Tipton; a sister, Mrs. Bruce Dew, Cedar Rapids; a half-brother, Paul Rupp, Shiresmantown, Pa., and a half-sister, Mrs. Elmer Larson, Mankato, Minn.
