Mrs. Anna G. Waters, 86, life-time resident of the West Branch-Downey area, died early April 29 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Kennedy, in West Branch.

Funeral services were May 1 at the West Branch Methodist church, with the Rev. Charles F. Haigh officiating. Burial was in the Downey cemetery.

Mrs. Waters was born June 10, 1876, in Johnson county, the daughter of Henry and Carrie Keltch Rummells.

She was married to Fred E. Waters February 26, 1902 in Iowa City. He preceded her in death in 1913.

She was a member of the West Branch Methodist church and the Birthday club.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Verda Waters and Mrs. Ora Kennedy, both of West Branch, and Mrs. Vesta Butler of Altadena, Calif.; 3 sons, Leslie, Fred and Leland, all of West Branch; 2 brothers, Floyd Rummells, West Branch and George Rummells, West Liberty; 5 sisters, Mrs. Lila Thompson and Mrs. Pearl Siler, both of West Branch; Mrs. Leola Hobbs, Iowa City; Mrs. Clara Jones, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Emma Waters.
