Funeral services for Jens Christensen, 74, West Branch, who died March 29 were April 1 at West Branch.

The Rev. William Thalacker of the Bethany Lutheran church officiated. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Christensen was born March 28, 1889, in Denmark, the son of Rasmus and Martina Christensen.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the West Branch chapter of the American Legion.

Surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Alma Dudley, Iowa City, and Mrs. Marie Rasmussen, Waterloo; 3 brothers, Herman, Iowa City, Chris, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Harry, Des Moines; several nieces and nephews.
