Funeral services for John Phelps, 77, Cedar county farmer who died March 22 in a West Liberty nursing home, were March 26 at the Barker funeral home, West Branch.

The Rev. Charles F. Haigh of the West Branch Methodist church officiated. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Phelps is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Orpha Burnsvold, Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. Augusta Maxson, Tipton; and several nieces and nephews.
