Mrs. Elizabeth Rittenmeyer, 69, of Iowa City died Sept. 5 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Quentin Messer, following a long illness.

She was a former University of Iowa employee, having worked in the Quadrangle cafeteria.

The former Elizabeth Baker was born Nov. 7, 1891, near Tipton, the daughter of John and Annie Sentman Baker.

She was married in Iowa City in 1908 to Jake Voberich, who died in 1919. In March, 1926, she was married here to Louis F. Rittenmeyer, who died in Feb. of 1951.

Surviving in addition to the daughter, Mrs. Messer, are a granddaughter, Nancy Messer, and a brother, Bert Baker, Atalissa. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 3 sisters and a granddaughter.

The funeral was held Sept. 7 at Iowa City with the Rev. John G. Craig of the First Congregational church officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
