Rites for Raymond C. Long, 77, West Liberty farmer who died May 21 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, after a lengthy illness, were conducted in Wilton Junction May 24.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Matt W. Leach, and interment was in Sharon cemetery.

Born Jan. 22, 1884, Long was the son of Ezra and Amanda Jackson Long. His birthplace was Cedar county and as a farmer he was a lifetime resident of the county.

He married Pearl Stephens McGill May 8, 1926, in Muscatine.

Survivors include his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Emmor (Ruth) Webb, West Liberty; Mrs. Robert (Charlotte) Norman, Afton; a brother, Joe Long, Moscow; a sister, Mrs. Irvin (Calla) Rickey, Rock Island, Ill., and 7 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
