Funeral services for Dorothy Long, 46, were held at the Methodist church in Stanwood April 24. The Rev. Joe Alley of Davenport and Rev. Gordon Vickery were in charge. Pallbearers were Glenn Tenley, Burr Aylsworth, Bob Dierks, Paul Portewig, Woodrow Stock and James Moneypenny. Mrs. John Swift sang, accompanied by Mrs. Edward Speer. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Ward McClellan and Mrs. James Moneypenny.

Dorothy Long, was born in Worthington, Minn., Oct. 2, 1914, the daughter of John and Florence Long. She died at her home April 21. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1920. She is survived by her mother, 2 brothers, Kenneth, Davenport and Carl, Hiawatha and one sister, Mrs. Letha Paxton of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Vern. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.
