Charles Arthur Foote, 63, a native of Rochester township, died March 7 of a heart attack in Moline, Ill.

The son of William H. and Rosa Creps Foote, he was born in Rochester township June 17, 1897. He went to Moline in 1913 and was married to Pearl O'Brien June 12, 1918 in Moline.

He was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 16 years and at the Reynolds Engineering company for several years before opening the Foote Jewelry store in Moline which he operated for 14 years.

He is survived by his wife, 2 grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Rosa Richards, Tipton and 2 sisters, Mrs. Gladys Rosche, Tucson, Ariz. and Mrs. Jean Greenwalt, San Juan, Texas. A son and a brother preceded him in death.
