Funeral services for Harvey Everett Shotwell, 67, were held March 6 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with Pastor George W. Fisher in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leland Blake, Floyd Rife, Edgar Simmons, Edgar Hinton, Ab Petersen and Homer Achey. Mrs. Phyllis Willer was the vocalist, with Laura Geller organist. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Bissell were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Shotwell died at his home in Tipton March 3 of a heart attack. He had been down town and had put his car in the garage and entered the house when he collapsed.

The son of Harvey and Hester Shotwell, he was born Sept. 12, 1893 at Eliza, Ill., and was married to Nellie Proctor June 30, 1916 at Rock Island, Ill. He was employed by the Tipton Golf and Country club at the time of his death and had previously worked for the city of Tipton. He had lived in Tipton for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Harold and a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Mildred) Skladzien, both of Tipton, 5 grandsons, 2 sisters, Mrs. Effie McDevitt, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Florence Johnson, Rock Island, Ill.; 2 half brothers, Ralph and Clarence Sisco, both of Rock Island and a half sister, Mrs. Nellie Parr, also of Rock Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
