Funeral services for Miss Susan Chappell, 86, were held Aug. 30. Burial was in Red Oak cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Adamson, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiated.

Miss Chappell was born in Red Oak township Sept. 10, 1873, and spent her life in Cedar county.

Surviving are a sister, Miss Elsie Chappell of Tipton; and a niece, Mrs. J. W. Fehrs of Des Moines.
