Funeral services for Andrew F. Wendel, 64, Bennett, were held at Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Bennett Aug. 16. The Rev. Alvin Volle was in charge. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Casketbearers were Erwin Bachus, Elmer Meyer, Wesley Haury, Fred E. Edler, Art Bachus and Richard Eilers. Nita Conrad was organist.

Mr. Wendel died at Mercy hospital at Davenport at 3:30 a.m. Aug. 13. He was taken to the hospital after a heart attack.

He was born Dec. 10, 1895 at Fehmarn, Germany and attended school there. At the age of 16 he came to the United States and attended school in Muscatine county. He was married to Alma Steffen Dec. 17, 1919 in Davenport.
