John Charles Lower, 74, a former Tipton resident, died July 24 in Atlanta, Ga. Death was due to a heart attack.

The son of John and Lucetta Dreibelbis Lower, he was born in Tipton July 6, 1886. As a young man he moved to Topeka, Kans., later moving to Atlanta.

He is survived by a son, Charles S., a daughter, Mrs. Jean Wilkins and 3 grandchildren, all of Atlanta, and a sister, Lulu Lower, Miami, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Services were held in Atlanta, July 28.
