Funeral services for W. H. Hoyman, a native of Clarence, were held July 16 at Indianola, where he had been superintendent of schools for 25 years. He died July 13 at Des Moines.

Mr. Hoyman was born at Clarence Nov. 27, 1883. He attended Monmouth college and Iowa State Teachers college. He later received an M.A. degree from the University of Iowa.

He married Deana S. Merrick Aug. 12, 1913. She died May 14 of this year.

He was superintendent at Clarksville 2 years; Exira, 5 years; Toledo, 10 years and Indianola, 25 years.

Mr. Hoyman is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fay Schooler, Indianola; 3 sons, Merrick, Des Moines, Robert, Madison, Wis., and James, Indianola, and 10 grandchildren.
