Requiem High mass was celebrated July 2 at St. Joseph's church in Cedar Valley for Timothy F. Lynch, 82. The Rev. Edward Collins officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mr. Lynch died at his home near West Branch June 29, following a long illness.

The son of Daniel and Catherine Lynch, he was born Oct. 29, 1877 in the home where he died. He was educated in the Cedar county schools and served the Bower township school board for many years, serving as president.

He was married to Margaret R. Cahill Sept. 18, 1906 at St. Bridget's church, Nolan Settlement. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1956.

He is survived by his wife and 10 children: William, Seattle, Wash.; John, Tipton; Paul and Maurice, West Branch and Desmond, Cedar Rapids.

Vera, at home; Mrs. William Edgerton, West Branch; Mrs. N. A. Julius, Walpole, Mass.; Mrs. Marvin McCalley and Lorraine, Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Kevin, who died at 2 years and Vincent, who was killed while serving his country on Okinawa in 1945. Also preceding him in death were 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
