18 October 1956 - The Tipton Conservative

Bernard F. Lang, a native of Tipton, died Oct. 8 in Cedar Rapids after a long illness.

One of twin sons of Albert and Caroline Lang, he was born Sept. 8, 1891, in Tipton and received his education in the Tipton public school. After his marriage to Bessie Long, they moved to Cedar Rapids where he was employed at the Quaker Oats plant for many years.

Survivors include a son, Fred, and four grandchildren, all of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Bell and two brothers, Albert and John, all of Tipton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, two brothers including his twin brother, Matthias.

Memorial services were held in St. Mary's church in Tipton Oct. 10 with the Rev. Collins officiating. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.
