John F. Loehr, 74, retired employe of the Rock Island Lines, died Thursday in Tipton after a lingering illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Loehr were held Saturday at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home. The Rev. A. C. Long officiated. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

John F. Loehr, son of John and Cynthia Crawford Loehr, was born at Lone Tree, Oct. 20, 1881. He attended the Lone Tree schools and was a member of the Lone Tree Methodist church. He was also a member of the Tipton Masonic lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche; a son, Lawrence, Manly; a brother, Cloyce, Lone Tree and two sisters, Mrs. Bell Brown, West Liberty, and Mrs. Stella Fountain, Big Lake, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister and brother.
