Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Methodist church in Mechanicsville for Mrs. Lena Briggs Sell, 71, who lived northeast of Solon. The Rev. Eugene Miller will be in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery at Mechanicsville.

Mrs. Sell died Tuesday at her home after a long illness.

She was born near Mechanicsville Nov. 8, 1884 and had lived in the area between Solon and Lisbon for most of her life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Mechanicsville.

Survivors include her husband, Otto; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Donald Derringer, Onslow, and Mrs. Ebert Swailes, Tipton; a stepson, Ralph Sell, Olin, and a brother, Ernest Briggs, Lisbon.
