Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph D. Wingert, 71, were held Saturday at First Methodist church, with the Rev. A. C. Long in charge. Burial was in Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Wingert died suddenly at her home in Tipton early Thursday morning.

Mrs. Wingert, the former Edna Louise French, was born July 16, 1884, in Des Moines, the daughter of Mrs. Louise French and the late Shuler French.

She was educated in the Tipton public schools and was married to Ralph Wingert Feb. 20, 1907. They lived on a farm east of Tipton until December, 1941, when they moved to Tipton.

She was a member of the Methodist church, past matron of the Tipton chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and had been active in church and other community activities.

Mrs. Wingert is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Dorotha Kakert, Bettendorf; Mrs. Evelyn Karn, Belfast, N.Y.; Mrs. Helen Behrens, Clarence and Mrs. Grace Elaine Kabel, Mt. Morris, Ill.; two sons, Harold, LaPorte City and Wallace, Tipton; her mother, Mrs. Louise French, Tipton and two brothers, John French, Bozeman, Mont., and Herbert French, Quietus, Wyo., and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Emma Louise and Betty Edna, a sister, Zada, and a grandson, Dennis Lee Wingert.
