Funeral services for Rudolph Riedesel, 73, are pending following his death at 4 p.m. Wednesday at his home in Tipton.

Riedesel, a retired Bennett farmer, moved to Tipton in 1946.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; twin sons, Roland and Raldo, Bennett; a daughter, Mrs. Erma Fox, Wheatland, and a grandson, Donovan Fox.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home and at Peace Evangelical & Reformed church for Rudolph Riedesel, 73. The Rev. Alvin Vole conducted services. Burial was in Inland cemetery.

A quartet consisting of Veno Conrad, Sigfried Petersen, Mrs. Clarence Miller and Mrs. Alvin Volle, snag "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Mrs. Veno Conrad played the organ accompaniment.

Pallbearers were: Folmer Jensen, Frank Winters, Lawrence Brown, Malcolm Byers, Eugene Moore, and Arnold Meier. Liza Winters, Barbara Bell and Mrs. Lawrence Brown served as flower girls.

Rudolph Riedesel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Riedesel, was born on a farm south of Wheatland, May 22, 1882.

He spent the early part of his life in the Wheatland community and was educated in rural schools in the same area.

He was united in marriage to Annie Hagge Feb. 16, 1910 at Tipton. To this union was born a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Fox of Wheatland, and twin sons, Rolland and Raldo, both of Bennett.

He was baptized in infancy and became a confirmed member of St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed church of Bennett, where he remained a faithful and active member for the remaining years of his life.

He is survived by his wife and two brothers, Ernest Riedesel, Sr., of Bennett, and Louis Riedesel, of St. Joseph, Mo., and also by his three children and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fox and son, Donavan, who is also the only grandchild; Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Riedesel and Mr. and Mrs. Raldo Riedesel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and also by 11 brothers and sisters.

For 36 years, he lived on a farm northeast of Bennett and spent the past 10 years in retirement at his home in Tipton.

After a two weeks' illness he died at his home in Tipton, May 9, 1956.
