Funeral services for John J. McKibben, 88, life-long Mechanicsville resident, were held Monday afternoon at the Horner funeral home.

The Rev. William Tjaden officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Born March 3, 1868 southwest of Mechanicsville, the son of Annamelia and Ezekiel McKibben, he died Friday in a nursing home at Tipton.

He was married Jan. 13, 1892, to Anna Cook, who died Feb. 25, 1956.

He is survived by a son, Glen McKibben, Mechanicsville.
