Don W. Crary, 32, of Dallas City, Ill., died suddenly Sunday, June 17, at a hospital in Jacksonville, Ill., where he had been a patient since last September.

Last rites were conducted at the Martin funeral home in Dallas City, June 19. The Rev. W. D. Petersen officiated. Burial was in Harris cemetery.

The younger son of Mac A. and Olive Bugg Crary, Don was born in Tipton, May 16, 1924. His father was vocational agriculture teacher here.

He went to Dallas City in 1936 when his father became agriculture teacher there. He was valedictorian of his class when he graduated from Dallas City Community high school in 1941, and he attended Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., on a scholarship that was awarded to him.

He taught school for several years in Henderson and Hancock counties in Illinois and was a member of the First Christian church. Surviving are his parents and one brother, Ryland, of Washington, D.C.
