25 June 1956 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services were conducted in the Sheets and Dahn funeral home Wednesday for John Jacob Fisher, Lowden, with the Rev. A. C. Long officiating. Interment was in Inland cemetery, Bennett.

The son of Thomas and Nancy Ackermann Fisher, he was born in Inland township Oct. 4, 1885. He died at his farm home near Lowden July 25.

He was united in marriage in Wheatland, Oct. 5, 1910, to Anna Amanda Schorkar. They lived on the same farm for the past 43 years.

Mr. Fisher was a member of Modern Woodmen of America Plum Creek Camp of Bennett for over 25 years. He was also affiliated with the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Earl and Merlyn at home and two daughters, Mrs. Florence Meyer, Wheatland and Mrs. Ethel Meyer, Tipton, 13 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Clinton Lincoln, Wilton and Mrs. Louis Mussig, Tipton.
