Services for Carl N. Schwien of Wilton, 75, who died Thursday after a long illness, were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran church in Wilton. The Rev. P. W. Happel officiated. Organist was H. L. Waech.

The son of Frederick and Wilhelmina Schwien, he was born Dec. 28, 1880, in Germany, and had been a resident of Wilton for 52 years. He married Alma Leth, Aug. 15, 1914, in Davenport. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church and had been engaged in farming during his lifetime.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Edgar Meyer, Wilton, three brothers, William, Herman and Ernest in Germany, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
