Funeral services for Mrs. John Bodenhofer, 90, former Mechanicsville resident, were held Sunday at the Methodist church in Anamosa. The Rev. Harold James and Mrs. John Hosmer officiated.

Mrs. Bodenhofer died at her home in Anamosa Friday.

Emma Luella Manly was born Aug. 25, 1865, at Fairview. She was the daughter of Thomas and Alice Hannum Manly.

She was married to John Bodenhofer Oct. 26, 1893, at the home of her parents. The couple lived in Cedar Rapids for six years before moving to a farm north of Mechanicsville. They moved to Anamosa in 1921.

Mrs. Bodenhofer was a member of the Methodist church, the Order of the Eastern Star and other clubs.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Simpson, Mechanicsville; Mrs. Hazel Hammon, Lisbon, and Mrs. Hylah Tonne, Mechanicsville.

One granddaughter, Mrs. Louise Wortman, Anamosa; one grandson, Robert Tonne, Mechanicsville; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Cora Siver, Martelle. She was preceded in death by her parents.
