Joseph N. Randall, 76, died at his home in West Branch Thursday morning after a long illness.

Mr. Randall was a barber for 41 years, retiring in 1952. He was born at Springdale Dec. 3, 1880, a son of John and Ladelia Johnson Randall. As a young man, he lived in Minnesota where he was married to Cassie Smith.

In 1911 Mr. Randall returned to Iowa and lived in Downey and Nichols before coming to West Branch.

He was a member of Eureka lodge, I.O.O.F., of Iowa City.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Laura Butler, West Branch; a son, Orville, Ledore, Idaho; four grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Orville, Tujunga, Calif., and Charles, West Branch, and a sister, Mrs. Fawn Oakley, Jackson Center, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services wee held Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. L. E. Bauman in charge. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.
