Funeral services for John C. Meiers, who died July 1 at the Thurston nursing home in Tipton, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home. The Rev. A. R. Stratemeyer will be in charge. Burial will be in the Durant cemetery.

Born at New Liberty Sept. 1, 1884, he is survived by four sons, Edward, Stanwood; Ardell, Iowa City; Frederick, Oceanside, Calif., and LeRoy, Davenport; a sister, Mrs. Ella Kennan, Stanwood, and seven grandchildren.
