John Frederick Hamdorf, 71, died Dec. 18 in his home in Lowden after a long illness.

Services were held Friday in the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, with the Rev. N. S. Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Mr. Hamdorf was born Jan. 7, 1886 near Lost Nation. He was married Dec. 17, 1913 to Louise Becker. The couple farmed in the Massillon-Lowden area until several years ago when they retired and moved to Lowden.

Surviving are his wife, one brother, Fred Hamdorf, Massillon; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Juehring and Mrs. James Homolka, both of Oxford Junction and Mrs. Elsie Hansen, Center Junction.
