Harold Aldeman, 59, died at his home near West Branch at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 23. He had been in ill health since May, 1956, and had an attack of flu last week.
He was born at West Branch Feb. 25, 1898, the son of Jesse I. and Anna Roegler Aldeman. He was married to Marie White Dec. 24, 1919, and they have always lived in the West Branch community, the past 20 years on the home farm. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic lodge.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Bernard of Iowa City, one sister, Mrs. Helen Ruppert of Iowa City, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. L. E. Bauman, with burial in the West Branch cemetery.
