F. D. Cairns, 46, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kreinbring of Tipton, died of a heart attack at his home in Desloge, Mo., April 15.

Cairns was a teacher of commercial subjects in the Flat River, Mo., junior college. He went to Flat River as a teacher in 1941 and, with the exception of three years when he served in the armed forces, 1943 to 1945, had taught in the Missouri town. He served overseas in the European theater of operations.

He was married to the former Dorothy Kreinbring. They have one daughter, Dorothy Dean.
