Funeral services for Mrs. Winona Bennett, 75, were held Tuesday at the Methodist church in Mechanicsville with the Rev. Eugene Miller in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Bennett died Saturday at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.

The daughter of William and Effie Hanna, she was born Oct. 29 in Cedar county. She was married to Virgil Max Bennett Feb. 7, 1900, and with the exception of two years in Mechanicsville, they spent their entire married life on a farm southwest of Mechanicsville.

Following her husband's death April 20, 1951, she moved to Lisbon and lived there until May, 1955, when she moved to Mechanicsville. She was a member of the Mechanicsville Methodist church and a past matron of Evangeline chapter of the O.E.S.

Survivors include a son, Carl of Davenport, a grandson, Max of Moline, Ill., and a sister, Alice Hanna of Cedar Rapids.
