Mrs. Elmer Hennings, 51, was fatally injured early Friday morning in a truck-car collision at Moran, Kan. Her husband and son, Donald A., received bruises and scratches in the crash.

The collision occurred on the outskirts of the town, which is about 75 miles south of Kansas City, Mo. The Hennings were returning to Tipton from a vacation in California.

The driver of the truck, James Helton, Dallas, Texas, was not injured.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hennings were held Tuesday in the Rochester Methodist church, with the Rev. Walter Tubbs officiating. Burial was in the Rochester cemetery.

Iva Gritton, daughter of Norman and Etta Gritton, was born near Rochester Dec. 19, 1905. She attended school in the Rochester area.

She was married to Elmer Hennings Sept. 2, 1925, at the Tipton Methodist parsonage.

She is survived by her husband and son; her father; four sisters, Mrs. Vella Dickinson, Mrs. Ethel Safley, Mrs. Alberta Dugger and Mrs. Gladys Marolf, all of Tipton, and five brothers, Walter, Harry, and Albert, Tipton; Howard, Clarence, and Vearl, Atalissa.

She was preceded in death by her mother Oct. 7, 1944.
